Nancy Lee Matheson, 95, died peacefully on July 5, 2024, in Victoria. Nancy loved nothing more than being with her family, and is survived by her three children, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her sister Peggie, and others in her extended family. Nancy was creative and adventurous, which came through in everything she embarked on, from being a brilliant artisan, knitting and sewing for the family, to authoring the Whoop-de-do Cookbook of family favourites and becoming an iPad artist with many images that captured moments in her life. Nancy loved silly poems and everything whimsical. She embraced all things Scottish after marrying her Robin, who passed away 10 years ago, to the day. They enjoyed family, their terriers, their travels together, Scottish country dancing with a wonderful group of friends, and cottaging each summer. Nancy was always younger than her years, and lived independently until suffering a stroke four years ago. Even then, Nancy did all she could, and always wanted to go for an adventure. The family is grateful to everyone at Sunrise, Patti, and Marnie, who provided care for Nancy. Any memorial donations may be made to the St. Andrews Charitable Foundation. A service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Saturday, September 14th at 1 p.m. For those who wish to watch the service remotely, please follow this link: ipickart.com/stream/NancyLeeMatheson/
