Michael Alfred Scott (1936 – May 14, 2024) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael. Michael will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Ellen, his three sons David (Dave), Glenn (Glenny) (wife Cecilia) and Richard (Richie), and his three favourite grandchildren Christian, Alex and Kiera. Michael was born in Trinidad and Tobago (one of 10 children) and immigrated to Canada when he was 18 years old. Michael was quick to adapt to his new country and was a proud Canadian. He never quite adapted to the Canadian winters and always treasured his Trinidadian roots. Ellen and Michael met at Lansing United Church, where they had started a steel drum band. They got married shortly after and spent their lives providing a loving home for their family. Michael worked at Maple Leaf Foods for 40 years, never missing a days work and retiring with a perfect attendance record. Michael enjoyed over 30 years of retirement. Michael built a cottage in Tiny township where he and his family continue to enjoy the sandy beaches, feeding the hummingbirds and the tranquil setting. He will be remembered as a friend to many, with a sense of humor that often left those nearby laughing out loud. Michael loved his ham
bone soup hot, his Swiss Chalet sauce a plenty and made a mean curry back in the day.
