Mario Lawrence Monteiro suddenly passed away at home on October 31st, 2023 at the age of 65.
He is survived by his sons, Myron and Merrill, his spouse, Mariette and his brothers, Aloysius and
Martin.
Mario was born in Bangalore, Karnataka, India on April 26th, 1958. He was the son of Paul and Noreen
Monteiro. He graduated from St. Josephs Boys' High School, Bangalore and went on to earn a Bachelor
of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering at Karnataka Regional Engineering College in 1984.
During his career he worked as a computer and software engineer. He moved to Canada in 2004 where
he lived until passing away.
Mario enjoyed listening to music, especially pop from the 60s – 70s and classical music. Some of his
favourite bands include The Beetles, Boney M., and ABBA. Some of his favorite composers include
Beethoven and Mozart.
