Maria Frasca (nee Aversa)
Beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024 at the age of 91. A devoted and steadfast pillar of faith, Maria’s life was marked by her unwavering love and commitment for her family.
Born on August 6, 1933 in Santa Francesca, Frosinone, Italy, to Itilia and Pio Aversa, Maria dedicated her life to nurturing her family and instilling in them the values of compassion, kindness, and faith. Maria was predeceased by her cherished husband, Costantino, and her dear brother, Achille Aversa. She is survived by her daughter Lucia. Maria was also a devoted sister to Assunta (the late Luigi), Anna (the late Enzo), Luciano (Elisa), and Carmela (Domenico), sister in law to Dina, Benito (the late Maria) and the late, Edgidio (Gina). Maria will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews in Toronto and Italy, who brought immense joy to her life.
Her passion included sewing, cooking, baking and a love of nature; which she gratefully shared with family and friends. Maria’s legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Maria Frasca will be deeply missed but will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Friends and relatives are welcomed to the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, south of Lawrence Avenue W.) on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Norbert’s Church (100 Regent Rd., Dufferin St., north of Wilson Ave.) on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Mrs. Frasca will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery – Bayview Entrance (Bayview Ave., south of Highway 407).
