Julie Suehiro brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around her. She passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of joy and kindness that will be cherished forever.
Julie is survived by her beloved mother, Trixie; her brother Dan (wife Blanka); and her sister Patti. She was a devoted and caring partner to Patrick and a best friend to Kim, who both shared countless adventures and memories with her. Julie’s cherished puppy, Alfie, was her companion, bringing her much happiness and love.
As an amazing aunt, Julie was deeply loved by Jessica (Ben), Christopher (wife Kaila), Mitchell (wife Jessica, son Harrison), and Paula (husband Bryan, daughters Abigayle, Scarlett, and Zoey). Her vibrant spirit and genuine warmth made her a favorite among her nieces and nephews.
Julie’s concept of family was expansive, and she generously shared her love and warmth with those around her. She embraced Kim and Patrick’s extended families as her own. Julie will be fondly remembered by Kim’s family Brian (wife Merribeth, children Michael & Maria Su, Alison, Emily, Rob & Sabrina, and Becca); Rick (wife Angela, children Vanessa, Jessica & Kees); Karen (children Jonathan & Lauren and Carly & Alex). She also became a treasured part of Patrick’s family, finding joy in relationships with Patrick’s daughter Elless; his sisters Patricia (husband Wally); Diane (husband Bill); and Maryanne, along with their families.
Julie’s open-hearted nature and boundless warmth made everyone feel truly welcomed and loved, creating bonds that will forever be cherished. Julie’s passions were as varied as they were vibrant. Whether she was playing or umpiring baseball, engaging in a ‘spirited’ pickleball match, or exploring new places around the world, she embraced life with an open heart and a smile. She was always up for a great conversation, and her love for animals reflected her gentle, caring nature.
Julie will be deeply missed, but her joyful spirit, sense of adventure, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew her. She was truly a bright light in our lives, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Blood Services (www.blood.ca/en/ways-donate) would be greatly appreciated. Auntie Julie was a dedicated volunteer for many years, and in her final hours was a recipient of this very important service she supported.
A celebration of Julie’s life will be held for all family and friends on October 18th, 2024, at the Royal Canadian Legion BRanch #266, 3591 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario (closest major intersection: Jane & Dundas) between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. All are welcome to join in honoring her extraordinary life.
