God called Joe, beloved son, brother and dear friend on August 10, 2024 at 4:06 a.m. after a valiant fight with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his father Mario, his brother Mike, sister Lina and his dear friend Kenny as he said goodbye to this earth. His late mother, Anna Maria was waiting to welcome Joe home.
Joe will be deeply missed by his family and his many many lifelong friends.
Joe was born in Toronto at St. Michael’s Hospital on November 14, 1957 to the joy of his late mother, Anna Maria and his dad Mario, being the first boy in the family.
Joe took tremendous pride in everything he touched. He developed a strong work ethic at a very early age. During the summer holidays, in the 1970’s, he would be holding a trowel and helping his dad in the field of construction instead of playing with friends. His personal growth, development, integrity and passion began at this very early age.
Joe built his life on early childhood experiences and social relationships that he has maintained to this day.
After many creative opportunities, Joe ultimately retired from CN, where he was deeply loved by many, in 2023 at the age of 65. He was settling in to enjoy the twilight years of his life and build new memories. He would enjoy the simple things in life; a cup of coffee, a nature walk and trading crypto.
Joe was grateful and thankful for all the gifts from God.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family and friends and he is now
“Holding on to God’s Hand”
Joe’s final wishes for a private funeral service and burial have been respected. A garden of everlasting blooms has been planted in memory of Joe by al those at CN. The family extends their endless gratitude to CN for their expression of love.
