This world lost one of the truly great Mom’s last Thursday. On June 6th, in the company of Christine & Vincent, and after visits from Ken & Janet + her beautiful grandkids: Gareth, Maeve, Bennett & Olive; Joan passed away peacefully and painlessly to join her partner Don on their next adventure.
Mom was cremated Saturday in the same small private family ritual she devised to celebrate and send off her parents Matt & Anne. A proper celebration of her life will be organized shortly where family and friends can share her stories.
It’s easy to imagine another world now, where Mom & Dad are together again – likely at a backyard party with their brothers Ed + Bob & Betty and Bill + Allan & Erma. Of course all their collective friends and Grandma & Grandpa are raising glasses with them as well. We miss them dearly.
