Jean Bambury Obituary
Jean Margaret Bambury passed away on August 31, 2024 in Mississauga in her 89th year.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Colin Bambury, Jean is missed by her children and their spouses: Alison and William, John and Ronni, and David and Gail. Jean was a doting grandmother to Jason, Bryson, Colin, Curtis, and Kellsie. Her grandchildren brought Jean many years of joy and she delighted in watching them grow.
Jean was born in Barry, Wales, in 1935 to William and Alice. Before marrying Colin and emigrating to Canada in the 1950s, Jean graduated from a secretarial school in Wales. In Canada she worked as an executive secretary at Burlington Carpets for many years where she supported the vice president and sales department.
Jean loved music (particularly Frank Sinatra), her rose garden, garage sales, puns and hosting dinner parties. Jean and Colin enjoyed wonderful friendships with their neighbours and colleagues in Canada, and kept in contact with family back in Wales, returning many times over the years.
Cremation has taken place, and a private interment service will be held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, Mississauga.
