Gweneth Christine Morgan February 3rd 1935 – March 20th 2024.
My much-loved Aunt, Gwen Morgan, passed away recently at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Toronto, at the age of 89.
Gwen and her older brother, Stan, who predeceased her, were both born in London, England. In the mid-fifties she and her best friend, Ann, both emigrated to Toronto with the Royal Bank of Canada. She also spent some time working for TDF Film Productions Limited in Toronto.
Gwen made many lovely friends with her kind and sensitive nature. Maude, Hugo and Erik especially treated her as one of their family, as did her friend Ann’s family, and she had many friends with shared interests such as Tai Chi, Current Affairs and Gilbert & Sullivan. Mexico was a favourite place to holiday for Gwen and her partner, Ago.
Gwen was well-educated and very knowledgeable and it was always a pleasure having conversations with her about anything and everything. Sadly, as a result of the Covid Pandemic, her mental health had suffered over the last few years and limited her interaction with friends and family. I would like to thank all her friends and the volunteers who helped Gwen during her last years.
Gwen leaves many relatives and friends, in England and Canada, who will miss her very much and remember her with great fondness.
RIP Gwen, you were precious and we’ll never forget you. Jacky and John.
A very dear special friend is being missed forever. RIP. Maud and Erik.
