We are saddened to share of the passing of my mom, Verna Carew, who was promoted to glory yesterday, August 30 at 90-years-old.
We give thanks for her life and influence, and are comforted knowing she was a woman of faith whose hope was rooted in her love for Jesus.
Mom dedicated a lifetime of service to The Salvation Army, 65 years of marriage to her love, John Carew, and many wonderful years as a beloved mom, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
There will be a funeral to join with family and friends and celebrate her life in Saturday September 7, 2024, The Salvation Army North Toronto Community Church, 817 Mount Pleasant Rd., Visitation 9:30-10:30. Funeral Service 10:30-11:30. Reception downstairs to follow.
