COHEN, Barry A. KC – Our collective hearts are broken as we announce the passing of our husband and father, Barry A. Cohen, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Melanie Mitz Cohen for 50 years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jennifer Cohen Galet and Sam Galet, Michael Cohen and Samantha Mizel Cohen, cherished Papa of Zachary, Noah, and Joshua Galet and Harrison and Ethan Cohen. Younger brother to Joyce Posluns and the late Wilfred Posluns. Loved by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeff Mitz and Sephi Band, Lewis Mitz and Wendy Posluns.
Barry was a devoted family man. An esteemed lawyer and genuine friend. His law career spanned an astounding 54 years, fueled by his dedication to his craft. His strength was in his character. He was honest, humble, compassionate, a man of his word, and a team player. Barry epitomized the word classy. He will be missed by many colleagues and friends. Many thanks to Queen for her gentle caring and to JoAnna, who has been our rock, a precious one-of-a-kind friend.
