It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family announces his passing on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Extendicare Timmins at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by his wife Diane Lepage (nee Tambeau) in 2012. Dear father of Brian Carpenter, Garry Carpenter (Sue), Allan Carpenter, Cindy Carpenter, Crystal Carpenter (Eric Gourlay), Lynne Hamel (Vic Rudolf), Lyanne Lepage-Gaudette (Stéphane) and Paul Lepage (Josée Desjardins). Loving grandfather of Jamie, Jesse (Tori), Maxime, Jacynthe, William, Simon, Brandon (Shawna), Brooke, Cameron, Alexe, Michaela, Dustin, Dale, Laurie, Murray, Lindsay, Ashley and Troy and his great and great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Harold Carpenter (Marge). Predeceased by his daughter Marlene Fournier, his sister Joan Ryan and his brothers Cliff and Don Carpenter. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Murray was known for his sparkling blue eyes and will be missed by his many dear friends. The family wishes to thank all the medical staff from the various places he has lived in the last years of his life. Remembrance donations to Parkinson Canada or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive family and friends for a memorial reception from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
