Wilfred Wilson
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Dianne Wilson. Cherished father of Dave Wilson and James Wilson (Carole). Proud grandfather of Justin Morin-Wilson, Chris Wilson (Jessica) and Zackary Wilson (Gabriella). Great grandfather of Logan and Taylor. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Theresa (Nick) Sangiuliano, Louie Seguin, Irene (Richard) Luciani, and Eileen (Neil) McNeil. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Darlene Wilson, his grandson Stephen Wilson, his parents Norman and Eleanor Wilson and his siblings Helen, Eleanor, Berna, Marianne and Cecil.
The family would like to thank the oncology staff as well as the nurses from the Timmins and District Hospital for their care and compassion and a special thank you to Dr. Houston.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, January 19, 2024 from the Miron-Wilson chapel (Deacon Jake Gregorcic officiating). Remembrance donations in support of his great-grandchildren’s education fund would be greatly appreciated. Donation must be made in the form of a cheque in the name of Christopher Wilson. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 19th from 10:00 am to 11:45 am at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
