Obituary for
Shane James
JAMES, Shane (1962 – 2023)
It is with sadness that the family of Shane James announce his unexpected passing on November 3, 2023 at the age of 61 years. Shane was predeceased by his parents Arnold and Beth (Rose) James in 2003 and by his sister Wendy James on October 6, 2023. He is survived by his siblings, Douglas of Toronto, Bonnie of North Bay, Arnold (aka Tommy) (Lynn) of Timmins, Janet (Norm Begin) of Marathon, Todd (Polly) of Kirkland Lake and his brother-in-law William Conway of Dane. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kari, Mallory, Penny, Christopher, Melissa, Natalie, Samantha, Sarah, Ammie and Kevin, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his step son, Brayden Doucette, along with his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane was an avid golfer and Toronto Maple Leaf fan. He golfed at many of Northern Ontario’s courses and enjoyed watching the Leaf games with his brother Tommy and sister Janet from afar. He was a kind and funny person and we will miss him. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the first responders. As per his wishes, there will be no service or visitation, however donations can be made to a charity of your choice and will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
