Obituary for
Scott Durepos
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at home surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the age of 28 years. Loving husband of Danika Geseron. Loving son of Dani Durepos (Jennifer) and Celeste Tonkin (Rick). Dear brother of Chloe Durepos, Oakley Durepos and Kohl Tonkin. Loving grandson of Liliane Durepos and Christine Gutcher and great grandson of Suze Durepos. Predeceased by his grandfather Bert Durepos and his great grandfather Fern Durepos. Throughout his life, Scott spent most of his time watching and playing sports. Whether it was baseball, hockey, or football he put his whole heart in everything he did. While his undeniable love for sports was fierce, nothing compares to the weight of his love for his family and friends. Scott’s courage, bravery, strength, and selflessness throughout his fight with cancer is inspiring and admirable. Thank you to all his health care professionals who are greatly appreciated, and to everyone who supported Scott through his journey. Remembrance donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Scott’s life will take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Social Venue (27 Maple Street South) from 5pm to close. With the upcoming Montreal Canadians vs. Maple Leafs game on Saturday, we want to encourage everyone to wear hockey jerseys to the celebration of life. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
