C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du District, le lundi 20 mai 2024 à l’âge de 82 ans. Époux bien-aimé de Paulette Robitaille (née Patry) depuis 60 ans. Cher père de Daniel Robitaille et Lucie Audet (Alain), les deux de Timmins. Fier grand-père de Nicholas Audet. Fils de feu Philémon Robitaille et feue Lucille Larivière. Frère de feu Hubert Robitaille (feue Jacqueline Gareau), feu Gérald Robitaille (Louise Castilloux) de Gatineau, QC, Jocelyn Robitaille (Denise Lefebvre) de Gatineau, QC, Jocelyne Robitaille (Benoît David) de Brownsburg-Chatham, QC, Ginette Robitaille (Philippe Rochon) de Gatineau, QC, et feu Roland Robitaille. Il laisse également dans le deuil sa tante Claudette Larivière (Guillaume Roy), plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis. Renaud était un fier père de famille. Rien ne le rendait plus heureux que de passer du temps avec sa famille, son petit-fils et rendre visite à ses frères et sœurs. Il a travaillé pendant plus de 30 ans, jusqu’à sa retraite, en tant qu’opérateur d’usine à la mine Kidd Creek. La famille souhaite remercier tout le personnel de l’unité de soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district pour leurs soins et compassion, ainsi que Dr Hopkins et Dr Griffith. À sa demande, aucune visite ni cérémonie n’auront lieu après l’incinération. Les dons commémoratifs à la Société canadienne du cancer seraient grandement appréciés. The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Paulette Robitaille (nee Patry). Loving father of Daniel Robitaille and Lucie Audet (Alain), both of Timmins. Proud grandfather of Nicholas Audet. Son of late Philémon Robitaille and Lucille Larivière. Dear brother of late Hubert Robitaille (late Jacqueline Gareau), late Gérald Robitaille (Louise Castilloux) of Gatineau, QC, Jocelyn Robitaille (Denise Lefebvre) of Gatineau, QC, Jocelyne Robitaille (Benoît David) of Brownsburg-Chatham, QC, Ginette Robitaille (Philippe Rochon) of Gatineau, QC, and late Roland Robitaille. Also left to mourn are his aunt Claudette Larivière (Guillaume Roy), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Renaud was a proud family man, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family, his grandson and visiting his siblings. He worked for over 30 years up to his retirement as a Mill Operator for the Kidd Creek Mine. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Unit for their care and compassion, as well as Dr. Hopkins and Dr. Griffith. As per his request, cremation will be held and no visitation or service will take place. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
