James Barnett Gibb

Passed away peacefully at the Timmins & District Hospital St. Mary’s Garden Off Site on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his wife Norma Gail Gibb (2018), infant son Bobby, infant grandson Phillip and sister and brother-in-law Sylvia and Dennis Cybulskie.
Survived by his four children: Brenda Reuben (Paul), Jim (Debbie), Sharon Lacasse (Marcel) and George (Lorraine); 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Robert (Bonnie) and brother-in-law George MacJanet (late Cecile).
James worked at Kidd Creek Mine in the Instrumentation Department. He was an avid ham radio operator and an amateur astronomer. James never passed up an opportunity to play a game of crib and especially enjoyed when he won two out of three games.
Special thanks to his daughter-in-law Debbie for taking good care of Dad over the last several years.
There will be no funeral as per Dad’s wishes. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre.
