C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce le décès d’Hector Charlebois à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district le mercredi 27 septembre 2023. Il fût prédécédé par sa première épouse Jeanne-Mance Lessard (1987). Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Noëlla Charlebois (née Levesque), ainsi que ses filles Francine Rivard (Aimé), Carole Cécire (Michel), Sylvie Charlebois-Lefebvre (Yvan) et ses beaux-enfants Roger Carrière (Lynne), Michel Carrière (Lorraine), Normand Carrière (Kathy), et Alain Carrière. Il laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs petits-enfants, Marc Cécire (Marie-Hélène), Isabelle Lefebvre, Cynthia Craig (Casey), Maarisa Bastien (Joël), Korey Carrière (Kali), Dustin Carrière (Hannah), et Jeffery Carrière (Aly). Arrière-grand-père bien-aimé de dix arrière-petits-enfants. Il est survécu par sa soeur Rita (feu Marcel) Michel, son frère Emillien (Ghislaine) Charlebois, sa belle-sœur May Charlebois, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis.
Il fût prédécédé par ses parents Elie et Ida Charlebois, ainsi que ses frères et soeurs, Fernand (Germaine) Charlebois, Laurette (Laurier) Genest, Aline (Joe) Labrèche, Eugène Charlebois, Jeannine Charlebois et André Charlebois.
Hector avait plusieurs intérêts incluant la chasse, la pêche et le camping. Il aimait faire de grands voyages, ainsi que passer ses hivers en Floride après sa retraite. Il prenait grande joie à jouer aux cartes et aller au café avec ses amis.
La messe des funérailles aura lieu le samedi 30 septembre 2023 à 9h30 à l’église St-Dominique. La famille recevra les condoléances le vendredi le 29 septembre de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h à la Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS. Au lieu de fleurs, vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district (l’hospice)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Hector Charlebois at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday September 27th, 2023. He is predeceased by his first wife, Jeanne-Mance Lessard (1987). He leaves behind his loving wife Noella Charlebois (nee Levesque), his daughters Francine Rivard (Aimé), Carole Cécire (Michel), and Sylvie Charlebois-Lefebvre (Yvan); his step-children Roger Carrière (Lynne), Michel Carrière (Lorraine), Normand Carrière (Kathy), and Alain Carrière. He leaves behind several grandchildren, Marc Cécire (Marie-Hélène), Isabelle Lefebvre, Cynthia Craig (Casey), Maarisa Bastien (Joël), Korey Carrière (Kali), Dustin Carrière (Hannah), and Jeffery Carrière (Aly). Loving great-grandfather of ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Rita (late Marcel) Michel, brother Emillien (Ghislaine) Charlebois, sister-in-law May Charlebois, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Elie and Ida Charlebois, his brothers and sisters Fernand (Germaine) Charlebois, Laurette (Laurier) Genest, Aline (Joe) Labrèche, Eugène Charlebois, Jeannine Charlebois and André Charlebois.
Hector had several hobbies including hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed traveling the world. Following his retirement, he spent his winters in Florida. He took great joy in playing cards and having coffee with friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday September 30th, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St-Dominique Church. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 29th, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Timmins and District Hospital (Hospice).
