Frances Dubien (Simard)
From the minute we are born to the moment we take our last breath, there is that little time in between it all that we call life. Though change is the only thing constant in this world, the concept of losing someone forever is something that is difficult to grasp. The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Frances (Fay) Dubien at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 79 years. Dear mother of Lizanne Dubien (Keith Bertsch) and Dwayne Dubien (Alison Chorney-Dubien). She was a dedicated and loving grandmother of Dale, Joshua, Karter, Rachel, Owen, Grace and great-grandmother of Lyra. Dear sister of Patricia Ranger. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Nicole Dubien, her parents Joseph and Mary Simard, and her brother Joseph (Joe) Simard.
Fay’s favourite place was in her kitchen cooking up large meals or homemade bread for everyone or being in her vegetable garden. She looked forward to her weekly shopping outings with her sister Pat, her daily calls with her son Dwayne as he made his way home from work, and nightly online crib games with Lizanne. She enjoyed listening to live music, doing puzzles, and decorating her house and yard for every holiday or occasion for everyone to enjoy.
Remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and burial will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00am at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
