It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our mother on June 03, 2024 at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 77 years old.
Predeceased by her husband Bill Whelan in 1979. Loving mother of Debbie Montague (Jim), Barbara Simon (Gilles Villeneuve) and Bill Whelan (Tricia), also left to mourn their mother’s death are Francis Whelan (Ted) and Wayne Whelan. Cherished Grandma of 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like the thank the staff on Medical “C” and the Hospice wing for the loving care mom received in her final days, also a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wilson, Dr. Houston and to Dr. Schwertfeger for their compassion and professionalism in our time of sorrow.
Cremation has taken place and as per Danielle’s request there will be no service at this time. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation (Hospice) would be greatly appreciated.
