Ann O. Campbell (Watson)
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Ann Osler Campbell (nee Watson) on February 10, 2024 at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Campbell (2014) mother to Peter Campbell (Julia) of Toronto, Elizabeth Corbeil (Pierre) and David Campbell of Timmins . Most cherished grandmother to Bryce Campbell (Chelsea) of Oakville, Scott Campbell (Jess) of Toronto, Chloé Corbeil (Kevin) of Peterborough and Isabelle Corbeil (Joseph)of Ottawa. Great-grandmother to Colter and Quinn Campbell of Oakville.
Ann was born and raised in Sudbury Ontario and went to teachers college in North Bay. She then moved to Timmins in 1963 with Ron and their young family. While raising her children, Ann continued her education taking courses to complete a B.A. and taught many happy years at Mattagami Public School. Ann loved life, nature, knowledge, travel and bridge. She spent many happy hours taking walks in the bush, tending her garden or enjoying the camp on the French River. She and Ron travelled the world visiting much of Europe, China, northern Africa, the Caribbean, the United States and Canada. Her memories of their travels together brought her so much joy in her later years. She remained curious always Googling populations and locations of places that came up in conversations. Ann was a passionate and eager bridge player. The bridge club was a source of much joy as were the many friends she made at St. Mary’s Gardens. Mom we will miss you; your beautiful heart and big laugh. Many thanks to the compassionate staff at the Timmins and District Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Boulay.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for a memorial reception at the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. In her memory, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
