GERO, Emery Ross (November 3, 1946 – January 18, 2024)
It is with deep sadness that we the family wish to announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Emery Ross Gero of Delhi. Passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on January 18th, 2024, after a courageous struggle with illness in his 78th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (McLain) Gero (2014). Beloved father of Ron McLain (Lisa) of Aylmer and Larry Baker of Woodstock. Loving brother of Frank (Viola) Gero of Tillsonburg, Joe (Cindy) Gero of Delhi, Ernie (Jackie) Gero of Delhi, Barb (Joe) Gero of Brantford. Will be missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his sister Betty (Gero) Jolivet and brother- in-law Louie Jolivet, and brother John Gero. Son of the late Frank & Ada (Rockefeller) Gero.
Emery loved fishing, collecting coins, collecting old bottles and drinking Tims coffee. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives may visit the Gero family on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Crosspoint Community Church, 150 Concession Street West, Tillsonburg and on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (service time). Christian Funeral Service to Celebrate Emery’s Life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Crosspoint Community Church by Pastor Harold A. Winter. Live-streaming will be offered @tcrc projection through you tube. Spring interment in Delmer Cemetery.
