HICKEY, “Bev” Beverly Kinread (October 9, 1938 – July 8, 2024)
The family announces the passing of our loved husband, loved father and father-in-law, loved grandpa and great-grandpa, brother-in-law, uncle and a loyal friend to many, Beverly Kinread Hickey on Monday, July 8th, 2024 at AgeCare, Aylmer, formerly of Port Burwell, at the age of 85. Born in Rexton, New Brunswick.
Bev was a dedicated OPP Constable, serving for forty-two years, retiring in 2003. Bev was a faithful, dedicated member of the Bayham United Church, Straffordville, and former member of the former St. Paul’s United Church, Port Burwell and Avondale Church, Tillsonburg.
Much loved husband of forty-two years of Janet McKibbin. Loved father and father-in-law of: late Sharon (2021), Ron Porch of King Lake and their children: Michelle Murrell (Justin), Courtney Porch; Ellen Andrews (Mark), Corbeil, Ontario and their children: Jordan Andrews, Connor Andrews; Elaine Lockhart, Woodstock and children: Lynden Lockhart (Michelle), Taylor Lockhart (Justine); Karen Helsdon (Jeff), Tillsonburg and their children: Collin Burrell (Lauryn), Abigail Helsdon and Aliyah Helsdon. Proud and loving great-grandfather of: Xander Burrell, Aaron Murrell, Lauren Murrell and Felix Lockhart. Also survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jim and Sheila McKibbin, nieces: Melissa McKibbin (Kirby Duffy), Trisha McKibbin and Shelley Rankin (Jeff).
Predeceased by his parents: Joe and Alice Hickey, and sister Joan Hickey.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Friday, July 12th, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes-Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg. Funeral Service to celebrate Bev’s life will be conducted on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at 2:00 pm, by Rev. Cordell Parsons. Private family interment follows in the McKibbin family plot in the Aylmer Cemetery.
