AVGEROPOULOS- It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of John James Joseph Avgeropoulos, age 43, on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in the T.B.R.H.S.C. after a brief illness. John was born June 30, 1980 in Thunder Bay Ontario. Along with his million dollar smile and enormous heart, he was fond of spending days out at camp, fishing, loved his music, hitting the gym and spending time with his family and friends. John always enjoyed putting in a hard day of work as a driller in Fort McMurry and various other mines most recently Lac Des Iles. He was predeceased by his Father, James Avgeropoulos. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his Mother Gabrielle Shumka (Rick), his sisters Georgette Siciliano (Rob), Nicole Darosa (Louis) and Marie Avgeropoulos, his nieces and nephews Sierra & Mitchell Siciliano, Victoria & Dylan Darosa as well as by his aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 when family and friends will gather in Corpus Christi R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Rey Ronquillo. Visitation for friends will be held in the church for 1 hour prior to the Mass. Interment to take place in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorials to SickKids Hospital would be greatly appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
