Anita McIntosh Obituary
McINTOSH, ANITA (née Stockwell) – Retired in 1997 from General Motors after 34 years of service. With her husband by her side, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Niagara Health St. Catharines. Beloved wife and best friend to Bill for 52 years. Sister to Joanne (Lloyd) Climenhage and the late John (AnneMarie) Stockwell. Sister-in-law to John (Donna) McIntosh and the late Robert McIntosh. Anita will be fondly remembered by her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in St. Catharines in 1942, Anita married Bill in 1972. They moved to Oshawa, and then moved up to the Peterborough and Lindsay area, finally coming home to St. Catharines when they retired. In her younger years, Anita was a consummate bridge player. Anita was lucky to be retired for 27 years and spent her time reading and travelling to Florida every year with Bill. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 124 Niagara-on-the-Lake. In keeping with this, a legion service will be held at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 1:30 PM, followed by an open house style of visitation from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM honouring Anita’s life. She will be laid to rest at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Knowing Anita’s love of dogs, please direct donations to the Greater Niagara Humane Society. These may be left, along with online condolences at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.
