Obituary of Edythe Cayley
Gloria “Edythe” Cayley (née Quinn) of Mulmur and formerly of Teeswater, passed away at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston on Monday, September 16th, 2024, at age 85.
Beloved wife of the late Ross Cayley (1998).
Loving mother of Robert Cayley, Gloria Cayley and Rodney (Tanya) Cayley.
Missed by her grandchildren, Christian, Darian, Kameron and Wyatt, step-grandchildren, Nathan (Carly), Sabrina (Brian) and Leanne (Adam) and step-great-grandchildren, Molly, Simon, Elliott, Bailey, Brandy, Lacey and Cooper.
Remembered by sister-in-law Della Quinn and several nieces and nephews.
Edythe was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents, Henry and Lolita (née Stroud) Quinn and siblings, Harold Quinn (Joyce), Muriel (Gord) Newton, Lloyd (Beatrice) Quinn, Evelyn (Bill) Murdoch, Eloise (Peter) Payne, Trevor (Sandra) Quinn, Earl Quinn and Margaret (Wesley) Smith, sister-in-law Dorren Cole, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service honouring Edythe’s life at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.
Interment Durham Road Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
