EVANS: Arthur Edward “Art” – passed away peacefully with his family at his side at his home in St. Williams on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in his 76th year.
Beloved husband of Linda (Sullivan) Evans whom he married April 4, 1971. Predeceased by his daughter Tracey McGahey (Feb 16, 2021). Survived by his son Jeff (Liz) of Delhi and his son–in-law Gregrey McGahey and his fiance Shelly of Langton. Art was the best Grampie. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Kate-Lin Evans and Owen McGahey. Survived by his brother Larry & wife Francine of Shelburne and his sister Irene & husband Gary Haskell of Marmora and by his brothers and sisters-in-law Ruth Misner (Al 2000) of Port Dover, David Sullivan and wife Linda of Waterford and Rick Sullivan of Port Dover. Art always had a special connection with his numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Art was a Grocery Store Manager throughout his working career, but loved the outdoors and his gardens around his home and of course tinkering in his barn.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Rd. Port Rowan on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12 – 1:45pm followed by the memorial service in the Clark Chapel at 2:00pm. Interment later in Port Dover Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Erie View United Mennonite Church or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.gffh.ca
