With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Raymond Budd born in East York, and residing in Sundridge, Ontario, on August 8, 2024, in his 82nd year.
In Ray’s senior years, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of identifying and feeding all the different bird species in the area, the chipmunks, plain chicken wings, and beach days. Responding to his morning greetings with “I’m on the right side of the sod” and finishing every text message with “okee dokee”. He was popular for always having what anyone was looking for on hand for tools or parts within “Ray’s Junk.” It was amazing what you could find! Ray was always available to lend a helping hand right up to his last days.
Ray, your company will be missed by your loved ones, friends turned family, neighbours who were always there for you, and all the fur babies!
Son of the late Henry Francis Budd of Toronto and Edith Mae Lawes of England. Ray was survived by his loving friends: Corey Rooney, Colleen Rooney, and Amy Waltho along with the Gatehouse family Doug, Sue, and Cassy.
Ray is survived by his three children, William, Terry and Debra, sister Susan, brother Roy, nephew David, and niece Stacey.
Ray will be laid to rest at Pevensey Cemetery in Strong Township. A celebration of life is to be announced in September.
