Passed away peacefully at Cassellholme in North Bay on Thursday, April 25, 2024, he was in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Heather Marchand (nee McMurray). Cherished father of Randy Marchand (Kathy), Tamy Shearer (Dave), Tracey Chandler (Bruce) and step-father of Geordie Secord (Diana), Gary Secord and Kimme Lafayette. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laverne will be sadly missed by his brother Monroe Marchand (Kathy).
Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion BR#467 in Sundridge on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2-4 pm and there will be words of remembrance at 3:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Moore Chapel.
