James “Jim” Paul Schmidt

It is with heavy hearts that the Schmidt family announces the sudden passing of Jim on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, he was in his 64th year. Beloved husband of Kelly Schmidt (nee Nekon). Cherished father of James Peter Schmidt and daughter-in-law Candace. Proud grandfather of Austin Schmidt. Sadly missed by his mother Coy Schmidt (nee Forsey) and his brothers Bradley Schmidt (Irena), Doug Schmidt (Anne) and he is predeceased by his father Jacob Schmidt. Lovingly remembered by his niece, nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
