It is with heavy hearts the Van Duzen family announces the sudden passing of Chuck at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Born on February 17, 1947 to Charles and Angeline (nee Peters) Van Duzen. Chuck in his 77th year, enjoyed a full life with family and friends. He had a long career trucking, and in his last decade of working he was joined by his canine children.
He leaves behind his much loved family- beloved partner and friend of Ruth Phoenix. Cherished father of Vicki, Jenny (Aldo) and Rita (Chris). Proud and loving grandfather of Luke, Elea, Julian and Violet. Sadly missed by his siblings Betty, Eliza (predeceased) Percy, Patricia, Les (predeceased) and Truman (predeceased).
Arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home. Cremation has occurred at Forest Lawn Crematorium, at Chuck’s request and a celebration of life will be held in the spring for family, friends and neighbors.
If wished, memorial donations may be made to the Almaguin Animal Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
