Paul passed away peacefully after a short illness at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, ON in his 80th year.
He is survived by his wife Sandi Parks (nee Mckerral), his sister Darlene Truchon (nee Parks) of North Bay, son-in-law Marc LaRiviere and his only grandson Joseph (Joey) LaRiviere of Ottawa. He is predeceased by his parents Mary Catherine Kutchaw and his father Albert Paul Parks, his sister Anna-Mary Gaudette (nee Parks) as well as his cherished daughters Kelly Anne LaRiviere (nee Parks) and Kerri Anne Parks.
Paul was a friend to so many having worked in the plumbing business for over 60 years. He graduated from Sault College and began his plumbing career at a young age. He started work with Lawrence Brothers Plumbing and Heating in Sudbury for many years and eventually went on to start his own business Parks Plumbing and Heating. Paul worked hard all his life and continued to work well into his 70’s. In his retirement he spent a lot of time going for coffee at Tim Hortons with old pals he has known for years. He also loved to get away to his camp with friends whenever he could.
He loved his home on Long Lake for many years, driving his Sea-Doo to relax at days end with his faithful pal Nitro.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, November 16, 2024 after 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by a reception.
