It is with great sadness that the family of Rhéal Lavigne announces his passing in Sturgeon Falls, on Tuesday July 23rd, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Ovila and of the late Marie-Anne (née Brazeau). Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (née Lanthier) and partner of many years, Diane Legault. Dear father of Marc (Julie Berthelot) and Guy (Marcelle “Big” Ethier). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Zacharie, Nicolas, and Karine. Dear brother of Pauline Gauthier, Nicole Jansen (André), and Diane Shank (Michel “Ti-Num”). Predeceased by his siblings Françoise Diefenbeck, Anonciale Rivet, Georgette Champagne (late Pete), Florian “Ti-Nour” (Suzette), and Laurette Pretty (Billy). The family will receive friends at the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls for visitation on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
The family also wishes to thank the West Nipissing General Hospital staff for the care received during his stay. A special thanks to Isabelle Rivest, RN, for the kindness and care provided during his last moments.

Père bien aimé de Marc (Julie Berthelot) et Guy (Marcelle “Big” Ethier). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Zacharie, Nicolas et Karine. Frère de Pauline Gauthier, Nicole Jansen (André) et Diane Shank (Michel “Ti-Num”). Prédécédé par ses soeurs et son frère, Françoise Diefenbeck, Anonciale Rivet, Georgette Champagne (feu Pete), Florian “Ti-Nour” (Suzette), et Laurette Pretty (Billy). La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls le mardi 6 août, 2024 de 13h à 15h. Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés au Salon Funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls. Que vos témoignages de condoléances se traduisent en dons à la Société Canadienne du Cancer.
