Camille Joseph Belanger (1951 – 2023)
It is with profound sadness that the family announces Cam’s passing in Sturgeon Falls, Friday September 22, 2023 at the age of 72 years, following a courageous battle with the nefarious lung and bone cancer. When the time came he carried himself with dignity and strength.
Son of the late Joseph Bélanger and of Lydia (née Gaudreault). Beloved husband of Micheline (née Désormiers). Loving father of Stéphane (Tasha) and Michel (Charlene). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Alexie, Zoé, and Vanessa. Dear brother of Laurent (Beverly) and Jean-Paul (Megan).
Cam was an avid outdoorsman! In the fall, his passion was partridge and moose hunting with his two sons and two brothers and nephews at his hunting camp on Tomiko River. In the spring & summer fishing pickerel on Lake Tomiko was his favorite challenge. He loved cottage life surrounded by family and friends. In the winter, watching hockey and sports was his most treasured pastime. He was a loyal and zealous fan of the Montreal Canadians! Cam had many talents. He was an experienced carpenter and with the help of his sons, brothers and nephew he built his wife her dream home in 14 months. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.
A private celebration of life with close family and friends will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
