Obituary of Manuel Diniz Carreiro
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Manuel Diniz Carreiro, on September 11, 2024, at Strathroy Hospital, at the age of 84. Soul mate to his loving late wife Laurencia De Fatima Carreiro (2013) of 50 years. Dear father of George and Gayle Carreiro, Lenore and forever friend Dan Vieira, Susan Lavender (Mike) and forever friend Aaron Lavender, Debra Sibley, and Cecilia Couto (William). Loving grandfather of Joshua Garcia, Christine Espana (Jose), Kathleen (Cody), Nikita Vieira, AJ Lavender, Tinesha Vieira, Dean Vieira, Tabitha Carreiro, Seth Sibley, Weston Couto, Gavin Couto, Landon Couto, Emmett Couto, and Bentley Couto. Great grandfather of Austin, Brooklyn, Destinee, Avianna, Paris, Leo, Levi, and Charlie. Brother to many siblings, and brother-in-law to Henry and Gabriela Pereira and Joe Pereira (Mary-Jo, 2023). Predeceased by his parents, his grandson Brandon Carreiro, and great granddaughter Amelia. He will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends.
Manuel was an avid gardener, a hard worker, a family man, and a devoted Christian. He loved to sing and could often be heard serenading the love of his life, and his dear children.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Denning’s of Strathroy. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day, on Monday, September 16, 2024, at All Saints Church at 11am, with an interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
