Margaret Heinbuch passed away on May 5, 2024 peacefully in her home at the age of 95.
She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Helen Hoy (Gale) and her loving husband Charles (Charlie) Andrew Heinbuch, and her loving family, brother Jim and his wife Florence Hoy, and her brother Alex Hoy.
She was additionally predeceased by her in laws, Albert and Dorothy, Louis, and Glen and Betty Heinbuch.
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law Bernie (Lou), Betty Anne (Bruce) and Verna Hoy (Alex).
In her teens she received her County and Provincial hours in 4H work.
She received her Registered Nurse designation from Stratford General Hospital in 1951 and in 1956 opened the first recovery room at Stratford General where she remained the Head Nurse there for 37 ½ years until her retirement in 1993.
She travelled the world, and loved reading, gardening, crocheting afghans (well over 100) and carpentry.
She was a lifelong member of Avonton Presbyterian Church.
Many thanks to her extended family for their help and love, the Kneiders, Hodes, Buechlers, MacDonells, Pols, and Walkoms.
Special thanks to her nephew Matthew (Matt) and her niece Patricia (Patti). They were always there for her.
Friends and relatives are invited to Avonton Presbyterian Church, 3401 County Road 130, Avonton., on Friday May 10th from 1PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. Luncheon immediately following the service. There will be a private interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and expressions of sympathy memorial donations in memory of Peggy may be made to Avonton Presbyterian Church, or Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
