Helen Elizabeth Hatch, age 81, of Stratford, formerly of Teeswater, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Toronto, daughter of the late Frederick and Mona Lillian Kennard. Predeceased by her husband Bert Harris (2012). Helen is the loving mother of David Hatch, Jamie Hatch, Ken (Julie) Hatch and Darlene (Terry) Alexander. Proud grandmother of Vicki (Cody), David, Jordanna (Brandyn), Ryan, Jaime, Ashley, John (Skyler), Douglas (Cassie) and great grandmother of ten great grandchildren with most recent additions; Noah and S.J.
Helen will be fondly remembered by her brother John Kennard and his wife Christine and her sister-in-law Gwen Kennard along with nieces and nephews. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Stratford General Hospital and to the VON Day Program that Helen always enjoyed, and One Care for all your outstanding support and care. It is all truly appreciated.
Helen was also blessed to have met and made so many friends at 25 Kappele Circle, she particularly enjoyed her time spent in the lounge for daily visits. Besides her parents and her husband, Helen was predeceased by a brother Tom Kennard.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Helen’s Life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home Reception Centre, 430 Huron St, Stratford.
