Obituary
Daniel William Cossey, age 38, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Daniel will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Bonnie (Piper) Cossey. Cherished son of John Cossey and his stepmother Laurie. Adored brother of Andrew Cossey, Melissa (Reilly) Bowie,
Michael Cossey, Kyle Higgins and brother-in-law Fred Piper. Loving son of Verna-Dawn Higgins. He will also be missed by his nephew Simon Bowie.
Daniel was a gentle, caring person with a big heart and kind soul. He was always considerate of others and often participated in fundraising and humanitarian efforts. Daniel and his wife Bonnie shared an incredible bond and loving marriage, complementing each other. Everyone will miss Daniel’s quick wit and Bonnie’s infectious laugh that followed.
Daniel had an intense love for languages. Through dedicated study and international tutoring he achieved fluency in several languages. He spent many enjoyable hours in conversation with others around the world and those that were lucky enough to know him, knew that his language notebook was never too far from his reach!
Daniel enjoyed travel and his adventures in Western Canada, the Caribbean and South America.
He loved the outdoors and on a nice summer’s day could be found hiking the trails at Wildwood, playing tennis, biking or enjoying his swimming pool with Bonnie and friends. Daniel worked for many years in the family business at New Orleans Pizza and will be missed by his friends and late-night customers.
We all wish we had more time together.

A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through the funeral home.
