Brian Vollett Obituary
Crawford Brian Vollett, age 69, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on December 2, 2023. Born in Guelph, July 14, 1954 son of the late Crawford and Jean (Stuckey) Vollett.
Brian is survived by his wife of 48 years Cathy (Auliffe). Father of Troy Vollett (Rachelle) and the late Trevor Vollett. Grandfather of Deklan and Dalton. Father-in-law of Stephanie O’Gorman. Brother to Lynda Vollett (Dan McPherson), Anne Domman (Robert Taylor). Also survived by sisters-in-law Tracey Johnson (Danny McDonald), Robin Lovell, brother-in-law David Auliffe (Debbie), mother-in-law Doreen Auliffe and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by brother Earl Vollett, brother-in-law Kevin Lovell and father-in-law Ross Auliffe.
Brian was a member of the ‘Friends of the Festival’. During his active role with the organization, he was a ‘Dama Bell’ recipient for his volunteerism. His life-long interest and knowledge of military history allowed him to make a significant contribution to the Stratford Perth Museum as a Docent during the time that the ‘Anne Frank Exhibit’ was on display. Brian was a valued member of the Probus Club of Stratford.
Friends and relatives are invited to a service for Brian on Saturday, December 16, at 11 a.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. A reception and time to celebrate Brian’s life will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, Stratford General Hospital or London Health Sciences Centre. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
