Allan Wilmot Jeffery Obituary
A dear husband and a beloved father Allan Wilmot Jeffery passed away July 12, 2024 in his 99th year. He was son of the late John and Annie (Schellenberger) Jeffery. Born November 30, 1925, he is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis Lucille (McArdle) Jeffery. Dear father of Paul (Janet) and Steven (Norilyn Guintu) and children Kyle and Kylie.
Predeceased by daughter-in-law Fides, sisters Jean Zehr (Aldine), Olive Schoenhals (Gordon), parents-in-law James and Alice (Huether) McArdle, brother-in-law Jim McArdle (Ethel).
Allan had been employed as a Loom Operator with Collins and Aikman Textiles. He drove truck for Samsonite and later Steed Transport. He worked as a custodian for the Perth County Board of education until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church where he and Phyllis worshipped and enjoyed swing bowling, shuffleboard and fellowship with the Zippy Zioners. Allan and Phyllis would have celebrated 74 years of marriage on Monday, July 15, 2024.

A service to celebrate Allan’s life will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment at Avondale Cemetery. Memorial donations in Allan’s memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Knollcrest Lodge. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
