Peacefully on the morning of Sunday November 26th 2023, John(Jack) passed away at St Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, ON.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years Carman, his daughters Joanna and Linda(Michael) and son Bruce(Texia). Grandchildren Carmen, Hank and Raylene.
Also missing Jack are his brother Fred(Erin) and sisters Fay and Brenda(Belmont).
Predeceased by mother Bernadette, father Alexander and brother-in-law James Britt.
He will be lovingly remembered by many, many extended family members.
Born in 1939 in Kirkland Lake, ON, he lived in Hamilton for 59 years. He loved both places, as well as Cape Breton Island, NS.
He worked at National Steel Car for over 40 years. He also had a variety of jobs in his youth, such as working in mines in the North and writing a sports column for the Northern News newspaper.
His big loves were family, sports (especially hockey), and animals (especially cats).
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
