In Loving Memory of William Roy James Gemmell
William Roy James Gemmell, known affectionately as ‘Wild’ Bill, was born on September 24th, 1960, in St. Catharines, Ontario, and peacefully passed away in his home on October 7th, 2023. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, great uncle and grandfather who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bill was born to his proud parents, William and Norma Gemmell, and grew up in Western Hill as the cherished brother of Patricia Legault, Michele Risi, Darlene Smith, and Roger Gemmell. He was a devoted father to his children, William Gemmell and Carolyn Gemmell, and a doting grandfather to Phoenix Gemmell and Mya Willey.
Bill Gemmell’s life was a testament to his unbridled spirit and zest for life. His heart of gold was matched only by his mischievous smile, which could light up a room and bring joy to all who crossed his path. He found happiness in the simplest of things, a trait that endeared him to everyone he met.
Bill’s love for fishing was legendary, and he often spent his days on the water, creating cherished memories with his family. He cherished these moments, knowing that the true treasures in life were the bonds he shared with his loved ones.
