Horning, Ross George, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at the Chapman House, Owen Sound, after a courageous battle with cancer on September 15, 2024 at the age of 61.
Loving husband to Tammy Horning (nee Misch). Proud father of his sons, Alec (Taylor) and Devin (Alyssa). Dear Brother to Grant (Cathy) and Paul (Marie). Remembered by nieces and nephews, father and mother-in-law Marg & Kevin Misch, brother-in-law, Kevin (Debbie) and sister-in-law Melissa Blacker (Charlie) and their families.
Ross was predeceased by his parents William and Mae Horning and brother-in-law Chris Blacker.
Ross loved his boys more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing and vacationing on Manitoulin Island. He loved his Harley and long rides usually with Tammy on the back. Some of his favorite things were campfires, music, and just being outside. He moved to Port Elgin in 2004 but was always a Hespeler boy at heart.
Family would like to thank the Southampton Hospital Emergency staff, the Owen Sound Hospital 6th floor staff, and the staff at the Chapman House for their wonderful care and compassion given.
A come & go gathering to Celebrate the Life of Ross Horning will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 630 Green St., Port Elgin, on Friday October 11, 2024 from 3-7pm.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Chapman House or the Canadian Cancer Society.
