Judith (Judi) Hackett (nee Esplen) passed away at the Chapman House, Grey Bruce Hospice on December 8, 2024 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Murray Hackett. Loving mother of Michael and his wife Lynn, and Jennifer and her husband Marcus. Proud Granny of Kai, Emma, and Rowan. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Mildred Esplen.
Judi grew up in Port Elgin and retired to Southampton in recent years. She enjoyed spending time with close friends, walking the beach and welcoming family. She was an obsessive reader, especially with her grandchildren and baked the best banana bread and pumpkin pie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family is having a private memorial and cremation has taken place.
