Obituary of David Larry Lavier
Passed peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital, July 15, 2024 at the age of 62. Son of Larry and the late Noreen Lavier. Loved brother to Jock, Jamie and the late Barbara. Devoted father to Hayley (Matt), Brittany (Darcy) and Denver (Charla). Poppa to Deakin, Declyn, Layla, Max, Brantley, Bentlee, Cannon and Braxton. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Close friend to Sherri Lavier. Special thanks to Rob Jordan and John Menzies for their long devoted friendship and their care and support for David. And thank you to the Smiths Falls Hospital staff for their care and compassion, especially over the last couple of months. David was a long time equipment operator, finishing his career at Akman Construction. In addition to being a devoted family man, David was also a respected member of his community. Known for his kindness, generosity and willingness to help others in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Though we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing, he is now at peace with his loved ones who have gone before him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend David’s Celebration of Life Service at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith Street North, Smiths Falls on July 23, 2024 at 12 noon. A reception and sharing of memories will follow. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the CHEO Foundation or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
