Obituary of Brian George Joseph Mclean
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Mclean (Big Mac) on July 29th, 2024, at the age of 60 in Perth, Ontario.
Beloved partner of Brigitte. Adored father and friend of Kodie (Dakota), Konner (Jordan) and Wyett. Cherished grandfather (Papa) to Ashton, Charlotte, Isabelle, Mckenize and Arthur.
Predeceased by his parents, Gary & Therese Mclean. He will be deeply missed by his only sister, Darlene and is survived by his brothers, Brent (Lis) and Randy, as well as his nieces, Frodo and nephews. Also, friends and extended family members.
Brian’s life was nothing short of an adventure until he became a father. His young adult exploits may have dwindled (never really gone), but his laid-back hippy character turned him into the best buddy any child could hope for; a man turned father who grew & learned alongside his children.
Life is not always kind and in turn, some will waver and get lost. Over the years, Brian may have wavered, and he may have gotten lost, but his world revolved around his boys and subsequently revolved around his cherished grandchildren.
Brian was never one for sentiment and if ever in a position where any emotion was present, he would jokingly ask if you wanted to hold hands and sing “Kumbaya” or “Feelings” (Albert Morris); We’re singing both for you now Big Mac – You’ll be missed beyond words.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
