Nolan, Elizabeth (Betty)
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, August 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Gerry. Devoted mother to Jennifer (Paul) Lucier, and Megan (Dale) Monkman. Cherished grandmother of Sophie and Rosie Monkman. She will be missed by siblings Hugh (Sue) MacDonald, Joan (Jim Anderson) MacDonald and Gerry’s family Claude (Cora) Nolan, Ken (Diane) Nolan, Lyle (Joan) Nolan, Diane (Charlie) Osborne, Marlene (Wayne) Martin, and Ross (Trudy) Nolan. Betty is predeceased by parents Campbell (“Mac”) and Elizabeth MacDonald, sister Mary (“Sandy”) MacDonald and brother Michael, as well as by Gerry’s brothers Orville, Jim and Fred Nolan. She will be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wish to thank the staff at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre and the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre, the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital and Bayshore Home Health. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 24 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Civitan Club. In memory of Betty, donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation or the Franktown Public Cemetery would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
