William Lee McAndless
Passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 31, 2023, at the age of 93½ surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 68½ years, Doris May (nee Heron). Beloved father to Robert (Jane), Lenore (David), Scott (Dominique), Karen (Bruce) and Linda (Andrew). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Michael (Talar), Ariana (Darren), Christopher (Jess), Andrea (Paul), Heather (Dustin), Gabrielle, Zoé, Luke, Aoife, Steven and Tara (Tyler). Very proud great-grandfather to Kaylan, Noah, Lucy, Liam, Dylan, Everly, Emily, Charlotte, Amelia, Arlo and Aevyn.
Bill spent his entire career working at the CIBC, at various locations including the Audit Department and as bank manager. He was the man they called in to fix problems at branches when they arose!
He was a devoted church worker all his adult life and served as Elder at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Scarborough for 61 years.
Many thanks to the staff at the Villages of Taunton Mills for their caring help and support in Bill’s final days.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Scarborough on Saturday, January 13 at 11 am with visiting beforehand. The family will greet relatives and friends at a luncheon in the church hall following the service. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Scarborough, or the charity of your choice.
