It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Chris on February 12, 2024, at the Sault Area Hospital.
Beloved son of Jacqueline Hallam and the late Robert Hallam. Loving father of Jim Hallam (Alishia) and Sarah Hallam. Grandfather of Bailey, Ruby, Douglas, and Tobias. Dearest brother of Teresa Wagner (Ron), Sandra Hallam and the late Kim Hallam. Uncle to Christopher Madsen (Ami), Amy Lowe (Nick), and the late Shannon and late Wesley Hallam.
Chris was known for his infectious smile and generous spirit, always taking care of his family. Chris loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, where he would share his hunt or catch with whoever would enjoy it. Chris spent much of his time at Ranger Lake, where he would host family gatherings and have the best time amongst friends. Chris was always up for the triple “B” bonfires, beers, and barbecue.
Chris was a 40 plus year veteran of Algoma Steel and made plenty of friends with his coworkers. He worked hard and enjoyed life thoroughly.
Thank you to the Sault Area Hospital for their compassion in this difficult time.
As per Chris’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.
Donations in lieu of gifts can be made to a charity of your choice.
Family and friends are invited to a come and go reception on Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at 654 Fifth Line East, SSM.
