It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” McDonald announces her passing on May 30th, 2024 at the age of 79 (2 days shy of 80!), at Bluewater Health. Loving wife of the late Billy McDonald. Dear mother of Scott (late Terry Natywary) McDonald, and Alyson (Gerrit) Stam. Cherished grandmother to Nathan, Matthew, and Camryn Stam, sister of John (Jean) Cameron, and aunt to Derek and Allan Cameron. Beloved friend of Margaret (late George) Davison and Olive & Chic Archibald, from when they all first immigrated to Canada, as well as many more friends she met over the years. Betty and all of her wee Scottish sayings will be missed by so many. A special thank you to the staff at Vision Nursing and Rest Home for all of their care over the years.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Foundation at www.bwhf.ca/donate. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
